Heidi Aldous, a school psychologist at Greenhurst Elementary and Nampa Early Childhood Learning Center, and a department lead for the Nampa School District, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Idaho School Psychologist Association in October.
In the nomination letter, a colleague wrote:
"Heidi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of school psychology. Heidi worked as a service extender, developmental specialist, and a developmental disabilities supervisor through the Department of Health and Welfare. In the past 13 years, Heidi has worked as a school psychologist in the Nampa School District, she has willingly accepted various leadership roles for the betterment of the district. She has been the co-chair of the school psychologist department, the Gifted and Talented coordinator, a member of the Risk and Threat Assessment Team, and a leader for her assigned buildings and programs. Heidi is gifted with technology and is always willing to help a colleague learn new skills or simply put together a template to save her colleagues time. ... She has worked tirelessly throughout her professional career and deserves to be recognized for all she has contributed to the field of school psychology."
